Farm Store Starter Toolkit

Plan, price and open a small farm store or farm stand using the same tools we used to build the Harvick Farms Farm Stop.

We opened our farm stop in Cassville, Missouri in 2022 and now sell for 20+ local farmers, bakers and makers. This toolkit is the planning system behind it, so you can skip the guesswork and start with numbers.

What's inside

• Road to Farm Stop presentation: the step-by-step path from idea to open doors, including what to plan before you spend money.
• Farm store planning workbook (spreadsheet):
  • Crop planning: what to grow and when, so your shelves stay stocked
  • Wholesale calculator: set fair wholesale and retail prices for your own and partner products
  • Crop profitability: see which crops actually make money per bed or row
  • Produce box planner: plan CSA or produce box contents and costs
  • Value-added product planner: cost out teas, freeze-dried fruit, baked goods and more

Who it's for

• Small farms and market gardeners ready to sell direct to customers
• Farm stand owners who want to grow into a full farm store
• Anyone planning to sell other local producers' goods alongside their own

FAQ

Is this a physical product?
No. It's a digital download, so nothing ships.

What do I need to open the files?
Any spreadsheet program (Excel or Google Sheets) and a slide or PDF viewer.

Does this work if I'm just starting?
Yes. The presentation walks through the order to do things, and the workbook is built for small farms, not big grocery stores.

Can I get a refund?
Because this is a digital product, please see our refund policy before purchasing.
