What a Farm Stop Model Actually Is
A farm stop works differently than a typical roadside stand. Instead of one farm selling only its own goods, a farm stop pools products from several local growers and producers under one roof, so customers get more variety and small farms get a reliable outlet for what they grow — without each one needing its own separate storefront.
Why This Matters for Small Farms
- Shared overhead. One physical location and one set of hours serves several producers, instead of each farm carrying that cost alone.
- More reasons to stop in. A wider variety of local goods in one place gives customers more reason to make the trip than any single farm could on its own.
