How to Blend Sunset on the Farm Blend
Sunset on the Farm

A Floral Evening Tea from Harvick Farms
There’s something sacred about sunset on the farm.
The air cools. The pace slows. The fields glow gold. And after a long day of tending crops, feeding animals, answering emails, and building dreams — it’s finally time to exhale.
That’s exactly why we created Sunset on the Farm — a gentle floral herbal tea designed to help you unwind, soften, and settle in for the evening.
Today I’m sharing the recipe, how we blend it, and the purpose behind each ingredient.

🌿 The Recipe (Small Batch – 30 Pouches)
Sunset on the Farm Blend Ratio:
- 1 cup dried chamomile flowers
- ½ cup dried red rose petals
- ¼ cup dried lavender buds
This ratio creates a balanced floral profile — soft and soothing without being overpowering.
If scaling up, simply maintain the ratio:
4 parts chamomile : 2 parts rose : 1 part lavender
🌸 Purpose of Each Ingredient
Chamomile
Chamomile is the foundation of this blend. Traditionally used to:
- Promote relaxation
- Support restful sleep
- Calm nervous tension
- Soothe digestion
It provides a gentle apple-like sweetness and soft body to the tea. Think of it as the golden field holding everything together.
Red Rose Petals
Rose adds:
- Emotional balance support
- A gentle uplift to mood
- A softening floral note
Energetically, rose is often associated with the heart — bringing comfort and warmth. In this blend, it rounds out chamomile’s sweetness and adds beauty to both flavor and appearance.
Lavender
Lavender is powerful, so we use it intentionally and lightly. Traditionally known for:
- Calming the nervous system
- Supporting restful sleep
- Easing stress and tension
Too much lavender can dominate a blend — which is why it plays a supporting role here, adding depth without overwhelming the cup.

🌅 Why We Created This Blend
On the farm, sunset isn’t just a time of day — it’s a transition.
- From work to rest.
- From noise to quiet.
- From effort to gratitude.
Sunset on the Farm is meant to help you create that same transition at home — a small ritual that signals to your body and mind that it’s okay to slow down.
In this first batch, we’re blending only 30 pouches — small, intentional, and crafted with care.
